Triangle Slice Cake

I was so proud to have done this. I started experimenting with optical illusions after I did this. I used French Vanilla Buttercream and Italian Buttercream to fill and coat the cake. Then I poured chocolate ganache over it.

Chocolate Cake

I made this for a friend's birthday.
4 layers of chocolate cake and I used Italian buttercream to ice it.

Sacher Torte and Biscuit de Savoie

I prepared these two cakes for a friend and former officemate who was moving back to California. I also made home-made vanilla ice cream on-site at the luncheon but it's not in the photo.

Biscuit de Savoie

Sacher Torte

The recipe called for almond flour instead of regular flour. It looks rich and sweet but not really. In Austria, they eat this cake with whipped cream.

Another Biscuit de Savoie

I made my sister-in-law 2 birthday cakes and this was one of them. The other one is below this picture.

Birthday Package Cake

When I did the square one, I decided to do a round one. I made this cake for my sisiter-in-law's birthday.

Birthday Package Cake

I had a good time making this cake look like a package. It was yummy too. The cake was made of white cake covered with buttercream and filled with raspberry filling!

White on White Cake

This white on white cake looks unfinished because I wasn't able to finish it. I used fondant to cover the cake and to make the white roses.

Fruits and Snickers Bouquet

I made this basket of sliced fresh fruits for a friend's baby shower. I also made sugar cookies that is not shown

Mini Tarts and Mini Cheesecakes!

Here you can see chocolate mini cheesecakes, mini lemon merengues, mini fruit tarts.

Chocolate Mousse

I used two types of batter to achieve the design of the sheet cake covering the mousse. I spread the chocolate batter over a template and scrape the excess off. Then I lifted the template off and poured the vanilla batter over the chocolate batter.

Baby Shower Cake

I made this two-layer cake for a friend's baby shower. I made sweet pastries along with the cake because the theme was desserts.

Wedding Cake

Top view of the wedding cake. You can see the yellow, orange and pink tulips.

Wedding Cake

A closer look at the wedding cake. The first layer was 14-inch in diameter and the cake stood at 1 foot tall!

Wedding Cake

This was the most ambitious project I have ever done so far. It was my first wedding cake and I made it for my friends' bridal/groom shower. The first 2 layers were made of chocolate and the top tier yellow. The bride's favorite flower is tulips so I incorporated that into the cake.

Valentine's Treat

I was playing with chocolate. If you look closer, the container used for the chocolate-dipped strawberries is made of dark chocolate. I melted the chocolate in a disposable piping bag and piped it over a turned-over stainless bowl that served as my mold making sure I covered most of it. I then waited for the chocolate to harden then I slowly lifted the chocolate off the bowl.

A Basket of Flowers Cake

I liked making this project. There are pansies, chrysanthemums, roses and sunflower. My favorite flower among all these is the daffodil. Go Yellow!

Three Butterflies Cake

I was taking cake decorating classes and this was one of the projects. We used chocolates to make the butterflies.

The Soccer Ball Cake

This was a fun cake to do. I made it for a friend who plays soccer.

The Warehouse Manager Cake

I worked with edible photo paper on this birthday cake. This friend worked in a warehouse and dealt with the shipping companies showed on the cake. I was actually looking for a particular cake mold for this friend but he got lucky that I could not find one. If you know where to get a donkey cake mold, let me know!

The Harley Cake

This was a tough one. I used a cake mold pan and followed the instructions. Icing it was not a problem but it was the unmolding from the cake pan that was hard. I made this birthday cake for a friend who fancied motorbikes.

I made this birthday cake for a friend who likes pizza. (Who does not like pizza?) I worked with fondant to make the little sausages, pepperonis and green onions then drizzled regular yellow icing to immitate cheese. If you look closer, you can actually read this friend's name.

This birthday cake was made for my husband who is a sax player. It was a two-tiered white cake with a simple vanilla icing.

The Painter's Cake lll

It was a tall cake! Each layer was 2 inches tall.

What is seen on the side of the cake is one of her paintings. There are three more of her paintings on the side of the cake not shown.

The Painter's Cake 1

I had a lot of fun with this cake. This was a birthday cake for my mother-in-law. She is a landscape painter and I took that as the theme. The mediums I used to decorate the cake are edible photo paper and chocolate molds over the icing.

Biscuit de Savoie Side View

It was my first time to make this type of cake and it's one of my favorites to make. I made this particular cake for my husband's birthday.

I made this cake for a dear friend who likes to watch movies. It was a yellow cake with white icing. I decorated the cake with fondant which is a neat medium to work with.

The Piano Cake

This was the first birthday cake I ever made for myself. I was taking a piano lesson during that time and that gave me the idea for the cake.
